Messi has not played yet, PSG still easily won all 3 points

Although the Argentine superstar has not yet been able to debut, with the inherent class, PSG still got a convincing victory against Brest.

Early this morning (August 21), PSG entered the match against Brest in the third round of Ligue 1 2021/22. And as soon as the first half started, the army of coach Mauricio Pochettino completely overwhelmed the opponent. They continuously created waves in front of the goalkeeper’s goal.

And whatever comes must have happened. In the 23rd minute, midfielder Ander Herrera opened the scoring for the Rich Man after a beautiful volley from outside the box. Just 13 minutes later, from Wijnaldum’s unsuccessful shot, the ball found Kylian Mbappe’s position and the French striker doubled the lead for the visitors with a quick header.

PSG proved superior to Brest

Brest had a goal to shorten the score at the end of the first half thanks to Franck Honorat after an eye-catching combination. But entering the second half, PSG regained the advantage of 2 goals with Idrissa Gueye’s classy long-range shot after 73 minutes. In the 85th minute, the home team continued to have a goal to shorten the score with a goal from Steve Mounie.

However, their hopes of getting points were extinguished soon after when Angel Di Maria had a delicate lob to set the score 4-2 for PSG in the 90th minute.

With this victory, Mbappe and his teammates temporarily rose to the top of the table with 9 absolute points and a difference of +5.
