Chelsea are planning to renew the contracts of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante following their sublime performances this year.
Kante struggled with injuries during the 2019/2020 campaign, and the trend continued during the first half of last season.
He managed to redeem himself earlier this year, and found peak form after manager Thomas Tuchel took charge in January.
Jorginho also found his rhythm alongside the Frenchman, and the duo are now undisputed starters for the Blues when fit.
The club are currently finalising a new deal for Andreas Christensen. Their focus will then shift to the midfield pairing.
Both players are presently contracted until June 2023. Kante is widely expected to put pen-to-paper on a new long-term deal.
There are some doubts over Jorginho amid suggestions from his agent that he could return to the Serie A in a few years’ time.
Juventus are long-term admirers of him while former club Napoli have also been credited with an interest in reacquiring his services.
